Charles Dickens’ characters are brought to life in this
musical adaptation of his novel OLIVER TWIST. “Food, Glorious
Food,” “I’d Do Anything,” “Where
is Love?,” “Consider Yourself,” “As
Long as He Needs Me” and “Who Will Buy” are
musical theatre classics from Lionel Bart’s score.
Founding Producer Steven Jones has assembled a 30 piece orchestra
and a cast of 48 for Lyric Stage’s production of OLIVER!
Jonathan Beck Reed, last seen at Lyric Stage as Texas in the
world premiere of Schmidt and Jones’ ROADSIDE, will play
Fagin and Jack Vangorden, Louis in Lyric Stage’s THE KING
AND I and John in THE NIGHT OF THE HUNTER is Oliver. Catherine
Carpenter Cox, one of Lyric Stage’s audience favorites,
(Eva Peron in EVITA and Rosie in BYE BYE BIRDIE) will portray
Nancy. Nationally syndicated radio talk show host Mike Gallagher
will play Mr. Bumble. The rest of the cast includes Clayton
Slee (Artful Dodger), Daylon Walton (Bill Sikes), Gordon Fox
(Mr. Soweberry), Christine Chambers (Widow Corney), Kelley Murphy
Perlstein (Mrs. Sowerberry), Cayman Mitchell, Sarah Comley,
Tom DeWester, Amber Nicole Guest, Claire Cuny, Dianne Powell,
Lindsey Gallegos, Rebekah Wheeler, Vicki Dean, C. Ryan Glenn,
