LYRIC STAGE is Dallas’ only theatre company dedicated to producing local, large-scale American musical theatre. Further, we remain steadfast in our mission to help cultivate the Downtown Dallas economy by providing world-class entertainment at one of the state’s most storied and beautiful theatre houses, The Majestic Theatre.
Our commitment to the economic development of the artist entrepreneur ensures that LYRIC STAGE continues to produce top-quality shows; every performer, technician and crew member is fairly compensated for their time and talent.
LYRIC STAGE looks ahead with anticipation as we continue to build our audience and ascend to being a nationally-acclaimed company.
Our projected budget for 2023 is $2.5 million.

THE ARTIST ENTREPRENEUR
Lyric Stage has always highly valued and prioritized its family of artists. From the actors, singers and dancers you see on stage, to the musicians filling The Majestic with gorgeous melodies, to the technicians working behind the scenes to make it all happen, paying these people fairly has and always will be at the core of Lyric’s mission. PRODUCTIONS & PROGRAMMING
Lyric Stage’s mission is to preserve the American Musical. Of course, producing elite-level shows is at the heart of our mission. Aside from production costs, Lyric also must obtain rights/royalties for each show and execute targeted marking campaigns to reach its audience. Further, offering educational, uplifting programming ensures Lyric’s ability to cultivate a community who fosters our mission as their own. To function at full potential, Lyric Stage seeks to spend $1.5 million in its 30th Season on productions and programming.

OPERATIONS & ADMIN
Lyric Stage already has fierce leadership in our Executive Producer, Catherine Carpenter Cox, and our Executive Artistic Director, Andy Baldwin. However, as Lyric aims for rapid growth over the next year, building out our team becomes imperative. $500,000 will cover Lyric’s growing operations, structural buildout and future-planning.
